fTRACE is a platform where manufacturers and retailers provide information on the origins, processing and quality of their brand's products. Consumers can trace products by scanning the fTRACE code on the retail package, and are provided with batch-level information about product origins, processing and other information. Operated by GS1 Germany, fTrace is compliant to globally accepted and used GS1 standards.

Mark Zeller, Chief Operating Officer
Mark Zeller achieved his degree in economics at Rheinische-Friedrich Wilhelms-Universität in Bonn in 1998. He worked for ten years as Key Account Manager and Head of Product Management at a software development company in Düsseldorf. He joined GS1 Germany in 2009 and worked in the position of Head of Funded Projects which includes the responsibility about all national & international research projects.
Between 2015 and 2016, Zeller was Head of fTRACE and Traceability at GS1 Germany. Since July 2016, Zeller has served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of the fTRACE GmbH, a 100% subsidiary of GS1 Germany providing a full supply chain traceability solution based on GS1 standards. This solution is already in usage by a many international FMCG retailers and brand owners in in more than 25 countries
Moreover, Zeller is member of the Advisory Board of the FIR (Institute for Industrial Management) at the RWTH Aachen University which is focused on research in national and international projects.
